OUR STORY

JB Sofas started with one simple decision.

A year and a half ago, I’m Jack, and I picked up a pre-loved sofa from Facebook. I didn’t overthink it. I didn’t have a business plan. I just thought it might be a small side hustle. I collected it for free… and sold it the next day for £500. That was the moment I realised this wasn’t just a quick flip. There was something here. So I went all in.

With the last £3,000 in my savings account, I bought a small box van trailer that attached to the back of my car. I started collecting sofas myself. Cleaning them. Restoring them. Delivering them. Building relationships. Learning fast. What started as a few Facebook listings turned into a community. We built a group where we’d do 6pm “drops” — first come, first served. People would wait for them. Every day was graft. Every sale mattered.

During those early days, Brent was helping behind the scenes — lifting sofas, doing deliveries, keeping things moving when it was just graft and long days. But Brent doesn’t just think short term. Where I saw opportunity, he saw structure. Where I moved fast, he slowed things down and built properly.

After months of conversations about where this could really go, he officially joined the business. That was the turning point. The rebrand from Jack Sofa Drops to JB Sofas wasn’t just a name change. It was a mindset shift. From flipping… To building.

Since then, we’ve:
• Run pop-up shops in major shopping centres
• Collaborated with social media and TV creators
• Invested back into stock, branding and infrastructure
• Built systems instead of just making sales

We’ve had big wins. We’ve had stressful weeks. Vans break down. Ads flop. Pop-ups don’t always perform. But we show all of it. Our goal isn’t just to sell sofas. It’s to document the entire journey — the ups, the setbacks, the pivots — and show what it actually takes to build a brand from nothing.

We’re not here for a quick run. We’re here to become the biggest sofa brand. And we won’t stop until we get there.
